The following outlines the terms of use of the Buddy Land. Before using any of Buddy Land services you are required to read, understand, and agree to these terms.

1. How Buddy Land Works

1.1 Number of dogs allowed per session

No more than 4 dogs per session at any of our Buddy Land locations.

1.2 Session duration and buffer period

  • 1.2.1 Each session is for 55 minutes. This allows a 5 minute buffer period between customers. This is particularly important as reactive dogs use our dog fields.
  • 1.2.2 If you arrive late or are delayed when using our dog fields, you cannot add additional time onto the end of your session or overrun into the buffer period.
  • 1.2.3 If we see or hear that you have not left on time, we have the right to remove your access to our dog fields and prevent you from booking future sessions.

1.3 Opening hours

All our dog fields are open during daylight hours, which differ throughout the year. If we see you using our dog fields outside of these times, we have the right to remove you from the premises and call the police – this is trespassing.

1.4 Etiquette

  • 1.411 Please remind in your car until the person before has fully vacated the dog field.
  • 1.4.2 Please do not let your dog(s) out of your vehicle before closing the gate behind you. This is to ensure the safety of your dog(s), nearby road users and members of the public.
  • 1.4.3 Please respect our neighbours. Persistent barking is unpleasant and can lead to our withdrawal of your right to use our dog fields.
  • 1.4.4 Buddy Land takes no responsibility for any dog that gets injured from using any of the agility equipment made available. Please do not use the agility equipment in wet or icy conditions.
  • 1.4.5 This agreement does not create any rights over the land and clients hiring the field accept that the Landowner and Buddy Land maintain control and possession of the field at all times. Buddy Land and the Landowner reserve the right to access the field while you are in the field, but Buddy Land won’t allow multiple bookings.

2. At your own risk

2.1 Our dog fields are large outdoor spaces that contain areas of uneven ground which could be concealed under long grass or other vegetation, have overhanging branches from trees around the edges which may fall or have fallen and could contain other hazards consistent with the countryside.

2.2 Use of the dog field shall be entirely at your own risk. The Landowner/Buddy Land accepts no liability for the death of, or injury to, any person/dog or for damage to any property. We also accept no liability for any losses, claims, actions, damages, costs/expenses or other liability incurred by you during the use of the dog field.

2.3 You must not seek to limit Buddy Land or the Landowner’s liability for the death or personal injury of a customer or dog caused by negligence. Notwithstanding Clause 2.2, if Buddy Land is held liable to the customer for anything except death or personal injury, its liability will be limited up to £10 million.

2.4 You agree not to let anyone else into the dog field other than friends or family members you have brought with you to enjoy walking your dogs.

2.5 By bringing friends or family, or sending somebody in place of you, you agree that you take full responsibility for their safety and for ensuring that they abide by these terms and conditions at all times whilst using the field.

2.6 Any use of our agility equipment is completely at your own risk and you are totally responsible for the welfare of your children and your dog(s) at all times.

2.7 Users must report any accident, incident or injury to us immediately by contacting support@buddyland.co.uk or calling on 07760161074.

2.8 Buddy Land requires all customers’ dogs to be covered by valid third party liability insurance before using the fields.

2.9 Access to some of our dog fields are through private land, you should only use this access when you have a booking with Buddy Land.

2.10 Some or our dog fields are located on working farms, you should be aware of this and accept any risks of entering a working farm especially if your dog was to escape or get injured and comply with any requirements of landowners.

3. Child Safety

3.1 You are welcome to bring your children to the field, but they must be supervised at all times, and you are responsible for making sure that they do not injure themselves or break any of these terms and conditions.

3.2 Please be aware that our dog fields have not been made child safe, and users must respect the area and contents.

3.3 Children must not be allowed to climb the fences, gates or agility equipment and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

4. Fencing

4.1 Although Buddy Land will be inspecting and maintaining the fence regularly, holes or other damage to the fence may occur from time to time due to a number of reasons including digging by dogs or other animals, falling trees or branches, and general wear and tear. If you become aware of any issue with the state of the fence, please let Buddy Land know immediately and they will make our customers and maintenance team aware by emailing suppprt@buddyland.co.uk or calling us on 07760161074.

4.2 Buddly Land aims to be a safe space where you can confidently let your dog(s) off lead without having to worry about recall/the presence of another dog(s). Nevertheless, in the absence of any negligence, Buddy Land is not responsible for your dog(s) escaping and/or leaving the dog field, or you encountering another dog(s). Buddy Land doesn’t accept any responsibility for dogs escaping, or any damage, injury or death resulting from a dog either escaping from the field or a dog that they may encounter. You must ensure that, at all times during the use of the dog field, you act as a responsible dog owner.

4.3 The majority of the fence boundaries are 6 foot (or similar) in height. If your Dog(s) breach these boundaries, Buddy Land will not be held responsible. It is totally and completely your responsibility to gauge your Dog’s ability to escape from these boundaries.

5. Parking & Valueables

5.1 Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk. Buddy Land cannot be held responsible for any accidents, damage or loss incurred to vehicles or their contents and valuables.

5.2 Please only park on the hardstanding within the field gate and not outside it in any circumstance. Do not park or drive on the grass.

5.3 A maximum of 2 cars are allowed per visit.

5.4 No one is to arrive on site before their allotted time.

5.5 Please be courteous of other users of our car park area and do not block in any other vehicle at any time.

6. Bookings

6.1 All bookings must be paid for in advance.

6.2 Payments are to be made via the Buddy Land website directly, we do not accept cash payment (left at the field or otherwise).

6.3 It is possible to both cancel 24 hours prior to your session or reschedule bookingsby contacting us via support@buddyland.co.uk. If you are past the 24-hour cancellation period you will not be able to reschedule or get a refund for your booking.

6.4 Buddy Land reserve the right, at their absolute discretion, and for any reason to amend or cancel a booking at any time before the commencement of slots; and

6.5 If Buddy Land does amend or cancel a booking, Buddy Land shall be entitled to offer either an alternative date and time, or a full refund; and

6.6 If Buddy Land offers an alternative date and time, and the customer does not wish to proceed with the amended booking, Buddy Land will provide a full refund.

7. Dog requirements and owner etiquette

7.1 Etiquette in our dog fields

  • 7.1.1 It is your responsibility to pick up your dog poo, Buddy Land provides biodegradable poo bags and bins to make this easier, this also means keeping an eye on your dog to make sure you don’t miss them pooing around the dog field. Spot checks do take place, if you are caught not picking up your dog’s poo, Buddy Land has the right to ask you to leave or if you are a repeat offender you will be refused access to our dog fields moving forward. Nothing other than dog waste and dog waste bags should be put in the bins.
  • 7.1.2 Please discourage your dog from digging, this can damage our dog fields and make them insecure and dangerous for others.
  • 7.1.3 Any holes dug by your dog must be reported directly, Buddy Land will send out someone from the maintenance team to come out and refill these – this is for safety and security reasons. Please contact Buddy Land by emailing support@buddyland.co.uk or calling on 07760161074.
  • 7.1.4 Users must ensure the water hose is not left running after use.
  • 7.1.5 Do not drop litter or leave toys or uneaten treats in the field or in the shelter. Dogs may swallow them and become ill so take everything home with you at the end of your session.
  • 7.1.6 Buddy Land takes no responsibility for any dog that gets unwell or dies from anything ingested or encounters at any dog field. We also accept no liability for any costs/expenses or other liability incurred by you during the use of the dog field.
  • 7.1.7 No smoking anywhere on site.
  • 7.1.8 Your booking is for the purposes of dog exercise only, no barbeques, alcohol etc are permitted in the fields.
  • 7.1.9 Buddy Land does not allow anyone to operate or release any high-flying object (including a drone), or permit this, while using the dog field.
  • 7.1.10 Please ensure you abide to the local bi-laws, you can refer to the relevant local authority website.

7.2 Etiquette before you arrive at Buddy Land

  • 7.2.1 Do not bring your dog(s) to the dog field if they are or have been unwell in the last 48 hours or your vet has advised not to exercise or socialise with others. Doing so could be harmful to your dog(s) and other dog(s).
  • 7.2.2 If your dog is unwell in the field, you must clean up all mess and make sure that the dog field is left clean for the next user. If there isn’t a way to clear up this mess then please contact Buddy Land straight away using support@buddyland.co.uk so that we can take action.
  • 7.2.3 If your dog has shown signs of Kennel Cough, Sickness or Diarrhoea in the past 72 hours, you should not visit Buddy Land under any circumstance.
  • 7.2.4 Your dog(s) must be microchipped (this is a legal requirement pursuant to The Microchipping of Dogs (England) Regulations 2016).
  • 7.2.5 Dogs must regularly be treated for flea, tick and worm prevention and be fully vaccinated.

8. Indemnity

As a customer of Buddy Land, you agree to indemnify Buddy Land and the Land Owner against any losses, claims, actions, damages etc arising from your use of the field and the behaviour of your dog both in and outside of the dog field including where a dog has bitten somebody or another dog.

9. Updates

9.1 Buddy Land may need to vary these Terms and Conditions from time to time, so make sure to check back on our website frequently: buddyland.co.uk

9.2 By making a booking, you agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions on the website at the time of making your booking.

9.3 Buddy Land reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions between the time of the booking and your time slot, and if we do so they will contact you and provide the new Terms and Conditions. You have the right to cancel your booking once viewing the updated Terms and Conditions and please contact Buddy Land to do so via support@buddyland.co.uk.

9.4 In the event of any inconsistency between the terms and conditions, the copy that is visible on the Buddy Land website takes precedence and it can only be updated in writing not verbally or in person.

10. Personal Data

10.1 We require some of your personal data to allow you to book with us. The data collected is; First Name, Last Name, Contact Number, Postal Address and Email Address. This data is required to enable Buddy Land to provide their service to our customers, to contact you in case of an emergency or changes to your booking and for record keeping relating to the use of our dog fields. Your data is stored with the Buddy Land online booking system provider and 3rd party email platform Mailchimp.
